Amalek Lecture V (Part 5 of 11)

The Rise Of Antisemitism: A Glimpse Into Amalek’s Tortured Soul

In this video we explore how the story of Jacob and Esav, their children and their eventual transformation into a nation – from “Jacob’s children” to “Jacob’s nation” – is a chance of rebirth and the challenge to correct past mistakes. Rabbi Fohrman explains how Jacob’s nation oscillates back and forth from being too much like Esav to too much like Jacob, when a delicate balance of both is what’s needed – something we continue to struggle with today.

In this series, Rabbi Fohrman uses a set of Powerpoints to compare texts. Unfortunately, those Powerpoints have been lost to the ravages of time. We're very sorry about that, and we hope you still enjoy the series!
